My approach to teaching

I love finding clear, practical ways to help students make real progress while keeping Spanish enjoyable and sustainable. My approach is built on two things:

structure, and
trust.

From the very first lessons, I encourage my students to communicate in Spanish with confidence, even before everything feels perfect.

My background

I’m originally from Slovakia, but Spanish and Spain have been part of my life for many years. I’m fully bilingual and studied at a bilingual secondary school before continuing at university, where I focused on Romance languages and culture.

I started teaching private language lessons while I was still at university, and for the past 15 years, freelance teaching has been my profession, my daily work and one of the most meaningful parts of my life.

My focus

Today, I work mainly with adults who live in Spain and want to feel more confident, independent and at home in their everyday life. My lessons are tailored, structured and focused on real communication, cultural understanding and steady progress.

Me outside teaching

Outside teaching, I love learning, running, long walks and an active lifestyle. I’m interested in psychology, people’s stories and good conversations over good food or coffee. I don’t particularly like superficiality, unnecessary clutter or artichokes.
